The Paper Champion

Paulie the "Magic Man" Malignaggi aka cheap guido from Brooklyn won the IBF championship from some no name from Australia Saturday night. This fight explemplified the pathetic state of boxing. Malignaggi, was all but given this belt, to create some buzz in a sport that is struggling to garner minimal attention in the sports world. N'Dou the reigning IBF junior lightweight champion didn't even earn his title, he was awarded it at 3:00 A.M on a technicality. Although Malignaggi clearly beat this chump from Australia, it was even more clear that boxing made sure he won. The referee would never let the pair box close, giving an advantage to the light punching Malignaggi. Early in the fight the referee also took a point away from N'Dou when he threw a slap in the back of Malignaggi's head. HBO was also rooting for the guido to win because the "B" team announcers were all but sucking the Magic Man's dick for his mediocre performance. I just cant wait for this little party boy to get the shit kicked out of him again by Cotto or Hatten.
